Back in 2009, Nassim Taleb talked extensively about his prescription for solving the systemic problems within our economic system: namely, the conversion of debt into equity. Taleb argued that the prevalence of debt in the US, and global for that matter, economic system posed a grave danger and needed to be ameliorated immediately through this concept of debt-to-equity conversion.
