   In your Barbell investment strategy, you advocate putting around 90% in securities that are inflation protected, and whereby you detect no risk and the principal does not fluctuate. Can you give some examples, as even inflation protected Canadian gov’t bonds have miniscule returns, and hard assets like gold and silver have violent price swings.

   I doubt NNT will answer any of the investment type questions. In his exchanges on Facebook (and Twitter) he seems loathe to go there. You don’t get to see the trader Taleb unless he’s being paid to speak at an investor conference or interviewed on a major tv outlet. Personally I think he could do a lot of ‘good’ and help a lot of people if he would create and manage a fund for pension-type investors, or at least describe in detail what they can do to protect themselves. But I’m probably too naive an investor to know how complicated this would be.
